L’Aindinoise

L’Aindinoise est une nouvelle épreuve qui emprunte les mêmes 80 derniers kilomètres de la 15e étape du Tour de France 2020 remportée par Tadej Pogacar. Après une trentaine de kilomètres pour se mettre en jambes, vous enchaînerez les ascensions de la Selle de Fromentel (11,1km à 8,1%), du col de la Biche (7km à 8,9%) et du Grand-Colombier (17,7km à 7,1%), où sera jugée l’arrivée.

La randonnée pour les vélos à assistance électrique se conclut également au Grand-Colombier, mais par un autre versant.

L’Aindinoise : une cyclosportive sur la trace des géants de la route

Les habitants de l’Ain ont désormais un nom, les Aindinois. Cette appellation contribue à elle seule à la promotion et la reconnaissance du département, mais en voulant créer « l’Aindinoise », une épreuve cyclosportive dont la première édition aura lieu le samedi 17 juillet 2021, c’est une étape supplémentaire qui est franchie dans cette volonté d’identifier au mieux le territoire. Ce sont bien, du reste, Jean DEGUERRY, président du Conseil Départemental, et Hélène CEDILEAU, vice-présidente chargée des sports, qui soutiennent ce projet. L’objectif poursuivi par les organisateurs, Alpes Vélo et l’Union Cycliste Culoz-Belley, est bien d’associer l’image du département de l’Ain à celle du Tour de France, par la mise en valeur des parcours empruntés par la Grande Boucle, et notamment le triptyque Selle de Fromentel, Col de la Biche et Grand Colombier, appelé à devenir une référence mythique pour tous les amateurs de vélo, qui rêvent d’enchaîner ce triple effort. Rouler sur les traces de Tadej POGACAR ou de Primoz ROGLIC, héros de la quinzième étape du Tour 2020 entre Lyon et le Grand Colombier, ne peut que constituer une motivation supplémentaire.

Le parcours : un triptyque montagnard

Au départ de Culoz, les concurrents auront 28 km pour s’échauffer jusqu’à Virieu-le-Grand, avant de s’engager, pour les 80 derniers kilomètres, sur le tracé de l’étape du Tour de France 2020, soit une distance totale de 108 km. L’arrivée au sommet du géant de l’Ain, le Grand Colombier (1501 m d’altitude) promet d’être grandiose. L’épreuve est ouverte à tout cycliste de 17 ans et plus. Malgré la difficulté du parcours, l’Aindinoise est accessible à tous les fans de cyclisme, et devrait attirer également ceux aussi qui désirent découvrir les richesses touristiques du Bugey.

Une option VAE, vélo à assistance électrique

Le vélo électrique connait un succès qui ne se dément pas. La cyclosportive L’Aindinoise sera précédée par une rando-sportive ouverte aux VAE (vélos à assistance électrique). La rando emprunte le même parcours (hormis la montée finale vers le Grand Colombier qui se fera via un autre versan) et bénéficie des mêmes prestations que les cyclosportifs, sans le chrono, ni les classements. Elle permet à chacun de vivre intensément cet événement, de découvrir ce parcours d’exception sans être (trop) fatigué

The Aindinoise : a cyclosportive on the trail of the giants of the road

The inhabitants of the Ain now have a name, the Aindinois. This name alone contributes to the promotion and recognition of the department, but by wanting to create « l’Aindinoise », a cyclosportive event, the first edition of which will take place on Saturday, July 17th 2021, it is an additional stage which is crossed in this will to identify the territory as well as possible. Jean DEGUERRY, President of the County Council, and Hélène CEDILEAU, Vice-President in charge of sports, are supporting this project. The objective pursued by the organisers, Alpes Vélo and the Union Cycliste Culoz-Belley, is to associate the image of the Ain department with that of the Tour de France, by the enhancement of the routes taken by the Grande Boucle, and notably the triptych Selle de Fromentel, Col de la Biche and Grand Colombier, destined to become a mythical reference for all cycling enthusiasts, who dream of linking this triple effort. Riding in the footsteps of Tadej POGACAR or Primoz ROGLIC, heroes of the fifteenth stage of the Tour 2020 between Lyon and Grand Colombier, can only be an additional motivation.

The route : a mountain triptych

At the start in Culoz, the riders will have 28 km to warm up until Virieu-le-Grand, before entering the stage of the Tour de France 2020 for the last 80 kilometres, a total distance of 108 km. The finish at the top of the giant of the Ain, the Grand Colombier (1501 m of altitude) promises to be grandiose. The event is open to all cyclists aged 17 and over. Despite the difficulty of the route, the Ain is accessible to all cycling fans, and should also attract those who wish to discover the tourist attractions of the Bugey.

A VAE option, electrically assisted bicycle

The electric bicycle is an undeniable success. The cyclosportive L’Aindinoise will be preceded by a rando-sportive open to VAE (electrically assisted bicycles). The ride follows the same route (except for the final ascent to Grand Colombier which will be via another slope) and benefits from the same services as the cyclosportive, without the time trial or the rankings. It allows everyone to experience this event intensely, to discover this exceptional course without being (too) tired.
